ER Carkit Info

An ER Carkit is basically a Carkit that will achieve the longest range possible for GSM, which is 35KM. To do this you must use a RFI 5dB Antenner.  I have used this setup just as much in testing with the 5dB antenner as with the 3dB antenner (i use both with 2 mobiles when testing as well as a standard hand held).

You can also Make an ER CarKit (with a 3dB antenner) but you would have to install a GSM booster. (i haven't used one yet but will hopefully do some testing soon).

Antenner placement to the vehicle is also VERY important. Gutter mount is my preferred mounting position. If your vehicle is gutterless you will have to get a roof rack for it. Also making sure the antenner is kept as vertical as possible.
