What is a CarKit ? What can it do for me?

A CarKit is basically a phone holder in your car that when you plug your mobile into it, you can use a external Mic and speaker (Hands Free, Like using a intercom or speaker phone) instead of holding your phone against your head and talking. It also charges your battery and allows you to use an external antenna to transmit and receive signals from the network. A CarKit has many advantages, They are listed below:-

Allows Hands Free operation
Most CarKits support Auto answer after 2 rings
Mobile is always charged
External antenna improves coverage to 35KMs from a tower (depending on configuration of CarKit and Active base station)
Avoid LARGE fines from the police (It's against the law to talk on a mobile while driving, Unless it's an emergency!) This is now law right through Australia!
