19/08/06 People stealing images and bandwidth from my site

               Hello All, As per normal quite a few people directly link to images on my server. Every time the image is accessed, it is read from my site, But appears on a foreign web page. Since I have to pay for all bandwidth, It is stealing. People might think I'm being a bit hash.... But C`mon! This site is FREE.. and costs quite a lot to keep going.. So every $1 AU helps! If the image is one that I hold the copyright on, That's even worse! If I don't hold the copyright on them....... Just copy the image to YOUR server.. and host it there.. Simple!! Don't steal my bandwidth.

               Added a E-Mail "Auto Responder" to e-mail. That way we should see less e-mails getting lost!

               Slowly adding anti-spam system to Voda and Sega discussion groups. Please hang in there while I work on it. Takes a lot of time which I don't have :-(. You can now post to both discussion groups. But will be on and off as I install / test the anti-spam system.

Hello all...

The Word/Outlook Macro virus is back! Some one who has updated my new address in there address book IS now infected OR is now re-infected! The person who is now infected would have done this (updated there address book OR add me to there address book) in the last 48 hours from 1/11/01 21:02 (9pm). This should narrow it down. PLEASE check you PC for viruses... With your help we can stop this! We did it once before.. and we can do it again! :-)

Some of the people who had been infected with a WORM/MACRO virus that is sending me (and other people in YOUR address book) SPAM!!! with an ATTACHMENT!!! DO NOT OPEN IT!!!

I'm not spreading or starting it Because I don't use any e-mail program that supports worm virus (that's why I run old Netscape 3.04!!). So there is no risk to people e-mailing me and reply...

It's not just one ISP either... I have ID quite a few... Some one from Austar net, But they have been e-mailed from austar.. But I still need help finding the other people who have it and don't know!!.

Most links on my web page will be playing up. My ISP killed my web page this morning.. It has been a big mess (see my main page for details http://users.fan.net.au )

I am working on fixing all links ASAP.. But this will take weeks!
