Tim's VodaFone NOTES (SMS)
MobileNOTES
VodaFone MobileNotes (SMS) service allows any VodaFone user to
send a 160 character messages to any other VodaFone user in Australia and overseas. All
you need is a mobile phone capable of sending (MO SMS) and receiving (MT SMS) SMS
messages. Most mobile phones are capable of sending sms, just look for a
"Messages" or "Write Messages" menu in your mobile phone. All
all you need to do is type in your message and send it to another persons mobile number.
(With the prefixes 0410, 0414,0415 and 0416.)
VodaFone Aust message centre number (SMSC) is +61415011501. You
will only need this number if your mobile asks for it.
TeleNOTES
TeleNotes is just like MobileNotes but allows you to send SMS
messages from your PC (or MAC). All you need is a PC (or MAC), a modem, a phone line and a
Terminal software (Communication software like Telix for DOS or Terminal in Windows 3.XX
or HyperTerminal in Windows 95. Then dial 0414 100 200 with your terminal software and
follow the on screen instructions.

This service has been stoped for the moment, It will hopefully
be revamped and rereleased later this year (1999).
