My experiences with One.Tel's GSM 1800 Network

On this page i will list experiences with One.Tel's GSM 1800 Network that i think other New or Prospective customers would like to read and should find helpful.

06/01/00     Well i would have done about 100-200 hours of testing by now and I'm surprised how good the coverage is (well in Brisbane anyway) Especially considering that the network is so new. True i have found some black spots (Yes my house is the main one :-) But other than that coverage is good. Also a tip, Use manual network selection and then select one.tel (Or 505-08). I have found that my phone likes to jump to Telstra.. but then doesn't jump back to one.tel.. well not for ages (even on Automatic network selection)

Most phone will default back to auto if they can't find one.tel signal anyway. PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT use manual network selection and select Telstra. This is agent one.Tel's rules. You can be billed extra if you do! Or be banned from the network.

01/01/00     Well i received my SIM quite a while ago but haven't had a chance to write it down and put it on my page. The package i received was full of info, Most of it useful. One of the interesting things is that if you start using your SIM (EG make a call) within 30 days of receiving it the $25 connection fee (I'm on the BYO plan) is waved/Free. This is important to note!
