Fast Fone (Pre-Paid)

Fast fone is a prepaid mobile service from Vodafone. It allows you to pay in advance for calls and access to the network with out having a contract to sign, Monthly bills or Credit checks. You can buy a Fast Fone starter pack with a phone or as a SIM only pack (If you already have a mobile phone). For more information call 1800 501 052.

There are 3 new starter packs that come with a mobile phones. All mobile phones are SIM Locked to VodaFone. The SIM Lock can be removed but you will have to pay $150.

The starter pack includes:

• A $29.95 Recharge card ($29.95 worth of calls and 365 days access)
• SIM card
• SIM certificate (In case you lose your SIM card)
• Your new mobile phone number
• Users guide

A SIM only pack it is $39.95 (with the $29.95 card).

When you first use you Fast Fone you are automatically connected to the Standard Plan. the next time you recharge you fast fone account you can chose between the All-Day Plan and the Standard Plan. Here are the call rates:

Recharge cards

Recharge cards are available in 4 amounts

• $10.00 ($10 worth of calls and 0 days access)
• $29.95 ($29.95 worth of calls and 365 days access)
• $49.95 ($49.95 worth of calls and 365 days access)
• $99.95 ($99.95 worth of calls and 365 days access)

You need to recharge your Fast Fone account before the access period runs or or when you credit remaining is low. Any credit and access time you have left when you recharge your Fast Fone will be added onto you new amount. If you do not recharge your account before you access period expires you will lose all reaming credits in your account.

Your Fast Fone account can now hold a maximum of $300 credit.

After your Fast Fone expires you can still receive calls for 120 days before you lose your Fast Fone number.

Things you can and can't do with your Fast Fone

Here is a list of thing you can do:

• Use directory assistance with THRUconnect (013)
• Navigator service (123)
• CALLback service with SMS alert only
• CALLwait/CALLhold
• CALLbarring
• MOBILEfax and MOBILEdata send only (Can't receive Fax or Data calls)
• Receive Cell Broadcasts
• VodaFone Assistant (123)
• teleNOTES (SMS send via Modem terminal connect)
• International calls can be made, for more info call 1513 or 1800 501 052 for costs of calls.
• Receive CLI (Caller ID) And Send
• Receive SMS
• Send SMS (22c Inc GST per SMS, You can only send SMS if your account balance is above $10. (This is the official line from VodaFone)
• WAP

Unfortunately there are some thing you can't do with your Fast Fone. These are:

• Use the CALLscreen service
• Divert your mobile to another phone number (CALLforwarding)
• Global Roaming
• FOLLOWmeFAX
• MOBILEinternet
