Tower Construction
Here are a few pics on how towers are built from start to finish.

Here is a pic of the foundation of the Comms hut. Notice the boundary markers.

Here is a pic of the foundation with all the earthing wire installed.

The Comms hut is installed and fenced.

Here is a pic of the blank head frame... I thought this might have been installed as an Omni site due to the omni antenna supports that have been installed on the head frame but.... the site did become a short rang 3 celled tower after all!
New tower at Mitre 10 Logan Rd, Mt
Gravatt (QLD) ![]()
Here are some construction pics of a tower being built on the Mitre 10 as we speak!!

A shot of the new Comms box on stilts.

Side shot of the new comms box. You can see (what should be) a Telstra antenner painted brown in the top section of the pic

Another side shot. You can see the Air con units and on the far left the new antenner mounts.

The antenna mount next to the comms box. This site should be a short range, 2 antenner per cell, 3 celled site.

The second antenna mount on the front of the building. The large one the the far left should be the Microwave link dish. Which will probably link to the main Mt Gravatt site.

The last (3rd) antenna mount, With people working on it!!
Lots of cables going to this comms hut!!!
